Trade Up Policy

If you buy a new hammered dulcimer directly from us, and within a couple years or so decide you want to upgrade to another of our dulcimers, we will give you 100% of the retail value of your old dulcimer as a trade in on the new one. The old dulcimer needs to be in pretty good condition so that we can sell it to someone else as used. So for instance if you originally bought a natural Phoebe from us, the retail value of just the dulcimer is $399.00, and that is what we would allow for it on a trade in. If you upgraded to a Whippoorwill for instance, that cost is $765.00. So the difference you would actually pay is $366.00 plus the shipping. You would keep all the accessories to use with your new dulcimer.

This is how it would work. After we make the agreement for the trade in, you would give us your credit card number, and we would charge the difference plus shipping costs to your card. We would send you the new dulcimer in a case and box. You would take the new dulcimer out of the case and box, and put your old one in the case and box, and ship it back to us. We would keep your card number on file as security until we receive the old dulcimer back from you.
